There are no microtransactions in GT7, as nothing is locked behind a paywall. You can buy in-game credits with real money to speed up single player progression, but that is completely optional and probably unnecessary. You don't even have to buy a car in order to take part in the weekly online events, you can just borrow one for the race.

It's not like other racing games where you have to buy car and/or track packs with real money if you want to have access to all t...

The 60fps replays in the crossgen game look sharper and better than the 30fps replays of the high-end current game. No amount of black level patching is going to fix that. You're just setting yourself up for humiliation.

Also, is this game available on the basic "gamepass core" subscription? Because Forza Horizon 5 isn't.

I suppose that if the fart is silent, you can always claim plausible deniability.

I'm actually more interested in the Ryzen 5 1500 as far as price/performance goes. It's still a 6 core/12 thread CPU, but it has a 65W TDP (the 1600X is 95W), and it's $30 cheaper. You can apply those savings on a better cooling solution and overclock the heck out it. Might finally retire my trusty old 2500K for one of those.

The RX480 is cheaper, more power efficient and has 8GB of VRAM versus 3,5 on the GTX970. Besides, I'm far more confident in AMD's future DX12 performance.

Has it been confirmed as a free upgrade for existing owners of the PC version on Steam? Also, the PC version already runs at 1080p60, what else has been upgraded?

It probably won't have much of an impact on the PS4's overall sales trajectory, but it might come back to hurt Sony in the future with people waiting for the PS5 Neo instead of buying the system at launch.

I fear that PS4 users who don't upgrade to the "Neo" model might see more of this in the future.

I understand what you are saying, but how long will it take until Sony drops that "no PS4K exclusives" policy? And the potential for poorly optimized original PS4 games is certainly there from day one. Existing PS4 users may end up with a downgraded game to the point of compromising the entire experience.

I really don't think this is a good move by Sony. Most of us will agree that it fractures the system's user base, but in my personal opinion it completel...

You can use a local account to automatically disable a lot of the "spyware" and you can opt out of the rest from the privacy settings menu. Alternatively you can just dual boot Windows 10 for gaming and any other OS for all remaining tasks.

I installed windows 10 on a motherboard (ASUS P8Z68 V-pro) with no official support for it, and the only driver that I needed to install manually was for the GPU. Everything else worked flawlessly right out of the gate! It stil...

Yeah, I surely would like to know in which alternate reality $599 is equivalent to €699. Furthermore a GTX970 still goes for around €350, so you'll spend over €1000 just to get the bare minimum quality experience, and I'm not even factoring in the rest of the PC! That's too rich for my blood.

Couldn't agree more! I own all the arcade classics that SEGA released on the PS3: Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 2, After Burner Climax, Fighting Vipers, Outrun Online Arcade, Crazy Taxy, you name it I bought it! Yet I would gladly spend more money on those games if only SEGA got around to releasing them on Steam.

Also, Shenmue HD collection... Please?!

Dracula X Chronicles is also compatible with the PSTV, and both Rondo of Blood as well as SotN run at full screen in their native 4:3 aspect ratio on the system. You don't get that classic hilariously bad voice work in Symphony of the Night, but you do get a much more accurate translation and the option for the original Japanese audio.

It's currently on sale on the EU PS Store, so that's definitely a great place to start.

Really Sega?! Because I'm still waiting for Guardian Heroes on the Playstation Store. Or any of the Panzer Dragoon games, for that matter.

I think most SNK fans would prefer 2D sprites, nevertheless we all knew that sooner or later they would have to modernize.

But did they really have to make it this bland and boring? It doesn't have the appeal and timeless charm of traditional 2D animation, nor does it have the class of well stylized 3D visuals. It just looks generic and dated, almost like an HD remaster of the Maximum Impact games. Lets just hope they get the gameplay right.

@ gamingpro - Casual gamers these days play on their smartphones/tablets, they don't spend $400+ on a device built for the sole purpose of gaming. Do you even believe the stuff that you write?

And while Bayonetta 1 did release across two systems, the PS3 version was a rushed, unpolished mess. The patch helped but it was too little too late. Potencial customers turned to DMC, Ninja Gaiden and God of War instead. The game could have been an Xbox exclusive and it would hardl...

All I can say is that I haven't bought a PS4 game in nearly 3 months and I certainly don't have the time or money to waste on games that I already own and played extensively, just because they have a new coat of paint this time around.

I would rather see the resources that they apply on these remasters being used to accelerate development of Uncharted 4 or on new franchises and experiences. I did not buy a PS4 to play PS3 games!

Agreed. I would buy a MGS remake with updated graphics, controls and camera in a heartbeat, as long as they didn't change anything else in the game.

Sadly, if they did it today, not only would the game be open world, but they would change the soundtrack, replace the voice actors and who knows what else. Basically it wouldn't be MGS anymore.

I am seriously burned out on open world games along with re-releases of PS3/XB360 games that had no need to be r...

If you're referring to Ad-Block Plus, that extension is available in Chrome too.

Firefox was my browser of choice for years, until Mozilla decided to downgrade the user interface with version 29. Then I figured "if it looks like I'm using Google Chrome, might as well use Google Chrome", which in my experience turned out to be faster and more stable than Firefox. It also has its little perks like not needing a stand-alone flash plugin installation and now 60...
